Who We Are

1318 Land Trust is a 501(c)3 nonprofit entity established to hold and maintain conservation easements within the United States. Our goal is to preserve agricultural and timberland property in order to protect some of the most vital resources our country has to offer. 1318 Land Trust holds approximately 95,000 acres of land in conservation easement throughout Georgia and Florida. We have established long-lasting relationships with some of the South’s largest private landowners and are committed to the highest level of care for the property within our stewardship.

What We Wo

1318 Land Trust holds and maintains conservation easements within the United States. A conservation easement is a voluntary, legal agreement that permanently limits uses of the use of the land in order to protect its conservation values. With approximately 95,000 acres of land protected with conservation easements, 1318 Land Trust is able to:

  • Reduce air and water pollution
  • Preserve open and green spaces
  • Preserve fish and wildlife habitats, endangered species, and biodiversity
  • Manage and protect watersheds and wetlands
  • Prevent soil erosion and improve soil quality
  • Help to sequester greenhouse gases
